Stranger Things Tapestry

Last week I posted about a Stranger Things tapestry I created and uploaded to my Redbubble account.

After double checking to make sure the size of the file was correct, I ordered the smallest tapestry size because it fits our wall best. It didn’t take too long to be delivered, but we were on the edge of our seats waiting to see how it’d come out.

Stranger Things Lit-up Alphabet

It’s October. Mid-way into the spooky autumn month. The leaves are falling and people are getting ready for Halloween.
Being a summer time hit, Stranger Things is still just as relevant as it’s still spooky, and you know it’s gonna be such an influencer for Halloween costumes.

As I’m still fixing up the apartment, I’m working on upcycling a whole lot of furniture I own and crafting a whole lot of cute decoration to make this space more fun. There’s so much I want to do but I’m taking baby steps to make sure they look finished and professional.

On top of the couch is quite the open empty wall space. I knew a tapestry would look great in that space, but it was a tough to make a decision to pick the right design on, say, Society6 or Redbubble or any retail store. There were SO many to choose from.

Stranger Kids

Stranger Things

Have you jumped aboard the Stranger Things train? If not, get with the times! Join the rest of the world! Be a part of the conversation!

Honestly, if you haven’t seen it, no hate. I was reluctant to watch it myself being that the rest of the world was obsessed with it. I didn’t know if I cared to be in that conversation. To me it was another “American Idol” or “Breaking Bad”. Two completely different shows, I just realized, but they’re examples of shows that the world shut off all their electronics to watch. Or maybe not, as live-Tweeting is a thing.

But I gave in, and I fully understand why people are obsessed.

See You Later, Letterman

Late Night With David Letterman Poster

Did any of you tune into Dave Letterman’s final show last night? It was a show full of montages and a fun top ten list featuring an awesome batch of actors (I may or may not have squealed when Bill Murray appeared). It was definitely an emotional show. I mean, the guy has been on air for 30 years, it’s kinda a big deal.

#SAVETWINPEAKS

Just like the rest of the world, I was THRILLED when an announcement was made for the Twin Peaks revival. And just like the rest of the world, I was crushed when David Lynch pulled out due to negotiation issues with Showtime, whom will be bringing back the new episodes.

Five Ways Broad City is Changing the Media for Us Broads

Guest post written by Victoria

Broad City Art

I hated Broad City the first time I watched it. It seemed like nothing more than televising a web series made by Upright Citizens Brigade alums Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. It also seemed like Comedy Central’s answer to HBO’s Girls and I’ll bet a whole lot of ladies felt the same way. But with their time slot right after the frequently over-the-top Workaholics, another CC original and personal favorite of mine, I ended up giving the broads a shot for an entire season and realized my original assessment was not only completely unfounded but wrong; Broad City is actually the greatest show ever, pretty much, and here’s five reasons why they’re going to change media for women.
