I created a Redbubble account the other day, and I excitingly added a whole lot of work I’ve done over the years.
It’s surely making me excited to make new art. Don’t get me wrong, I love creating hands on projects for my Etsy and Storenvy shops, but there’s something about the easiness of creating artwork and leaving it up to someone else to develop the finished product, be it a t-shirt or phone case, and ship it out. It’s another way for us to kinda be lazy, but create and collaborate with others and yet make money. It’s a strange concept. Goes to show that “normal 9-5 careers” are on their way out ~~ welcome to the future.

Selfies – The New Self Portraits?

Is it me, or does it feel like the art of photography and self portraits have kinda gone to hell? Well, that’s a little harsh, but the point is that photography is not what it used to be. It seems after the ‘selfie’ became more accepted, photography seemed to have declined.

Where did we go wrong? My guess around the rise of Myspace, but to jump to conclusions and determine something that isn’t factual ain’t right on my part. That’s just my observation though.

Where to start?
I’m Maria. I’ve had my blog marsenroute.blogspot.com for over three years now. I love my blog; it’s my three year old baby. But I felt things have gotten stale over the past five months. I’ve had major life changes that affected me, and the domino effect affected my internet presence. I’m not abandoning, but more along the lines of expanding.
