Tiny Embroidery Hoop Decor

I don’t remember why I bought these tiny embroidery hoops, but I’m sure at the time I had some kind of project in mind. It was so long ago that the right side of my brain basically reset and thought to do something cute for my current apartment.
I created this bigger hoop with a “galaxy scene” for a class project from a bunch of years ago. I brought it back into my life by incorporating it into my living room a couple of weeks ago and decided to do some kind of “galaxy thing” for the tiny hoops.

I pulled out my bead collection and fabric to put inside the hoops and just started sewing beads without a plan.

I started with the purple fabric and used black beads for the majority. I brought in a few random colors but I kept it mostly black. I made some clusters of black and more spread out areas of black. You know, kinda “galaxy-ish”. I dunno.

Anywho, once I concluded I was done (because sometimes you have to hold yourself back because it’s easy to overdo it), I cut off the excess fabric and glued it to the inside of the hoop. To keep it in place, I used small clothespins until the glue dried.

While the first hoop was drying, I started the second one. I didn’t want to use as much black as the first hoop, so I brought in more purples, blues, and pinks.
As soon as that hoop was done, I did the same by cutting the excess fabric and gluing it to the inside to create that clean finish.

I had bought some tiny command hooks a while back ago, so I figured out where I wanted to place them and voila, they’re hanging and looking cute in my living room. I’m happy to say that with every day that passes, it feels so cozy and comfortable in here. Sometimes all you need is wall decor. And that’s all folks.
