Tarot To-Go // March 19

Guest post written by Victoria

This past Tuesday, I was asked by one of my newfound friends to come check out her stand up routine at a nifty local spot’s weekly Open Mic Night. I’m always down for a laugh so I dragged my sister with me for a good old chuckle fest, after which my tarot reading skills were revealed and an army of comedians lined up to see their futures. It was intense!

Some of my clients that evening embraced the magic whole hog without hesitation. Others were resistant non-believers who all left the table with a new perspective on the cards. By the time I was finished? Minds had been blown.

“So you got all of what you said just by looking at the six cards I picked out at random?”
“I’m freaked out here, how did you do that?!”
“You touched on worries of mine I’ve never even said out loud!”

Because it’s R E A L! I actually didn’t do anything — their higher selves did all the work. I just translated the messages.

Today, when I was shuffling my cards in preparation for this week’s Tarot-To-Go, two cards fell out, one right after the other. And to me, it almost proves the spooky accuracy behind the deck.

The POWER and the SOLAR PLEXUS cards are basically one in the same because our personal power comes from that specific chakra, located in our abdomenal area. When we talk about trusting our gut instinct, we’re talking about the solar plexus.

To test your intuition, try this exercise. Stand up straight and take several deep breaths, clearing your mind of all thoughts. Remind yourself that you are a star — there is not an atom in your body that wasn’t forged in the vastness of the cosmos and you are one with the Universe. Then — tell a lie. Say that you hate something you actually love and see how it feels in your stomach — that’s your confidence zone telling you something is off. When I do this test, I tell myself I hate my brother. He’s my favorite person so when I say it my gut tenses and the hair on my arms stand up but your physical response might vary. Whenever you need to make a choice or determine if something is a good fit for your life, repeat this test using the objects of your anxiety and see how the power house of your solar plexus reacts. For example, if I needed to choose between two job offers, I would imagine myself working both positions and analyze how those visions felt in my body. Pretty neat super power, huh?

That’s it for this week! What will you use to test your gut instincts? Let us know in the comments and don’t forget to come back for another installment of Tarot-To-Go!
