The 90s was a great era for music. Emerging genres, movements, new voices, etc. It will always be my favorite music period. That’s for sure.

One of my favorite underground genres was trip hop. Never heard of it? I don’t blame ya, not many people have. Think of the House theme song. Massive Attack is a major contributor to trip hop.

I put together a short playlist with songs and remixes that resemble the trip hop sound, featuring bands from the 90’s, today, and everything in between. I find that I listen to this playlist more during the spring; it just has that kind of feeling to it. Maybe it’s that that hip hop beat mixed in with a nice sunny breeze and a feeling of growth and renewal. I dunno. Well, now that springtime is here, I’m sure this will be on heavy rotation once again.

Enjoy!
