Love Notes, Actually

Graffiti in Greece

Looking back at all the photos I took from my long trip, I have a boatload of graffiti photos. It’s kinda crazy to think about how a country known to be so beautiful has quite a juxtaposition happening. You can defend how that occurs in every country and city, but it’s one thing to hear it and another to see it up close and personal.

As much as it is technically defacing buildings and other surfaces, I enjoy coming across bright, colorful, and detailed graffiti. It’s the vulgar language that I loathe seeing because it ruins the artistic aspect of graffiti. And this is why we can’t have nice things. 👎

I obviously take photos of both though. They’re amusing and entertaining while some are especially visually appealing.
All of these graffiti spottings have been influencing and inspiring me. The typographic styles and colors are just beauts; I love that they’re spontaneous works of art that are a visual treat. I appreciate it!

(I found this while walking in the Old Town part of Chania. Couldn’t pass up photo capture!)

All of these photos were taken in Chania, Crete. I found it’s just as full of graffiti as Athens!

Title reference.
