Ladykiller Haikus

I’ve binged so much on murder podcasts this year that I needed to take a break to gather my thoughts. But that doesn’t mean my obsession of true crime is dying. It’s just on hold for now.

While I’ve been gathering my thoughts and checking my brain to see if I retained the stories I’ve listened to, I decided to have fun and make some haikus. Because why not. Haikus really test you to see if you can tell a story in three lines.

So I’ll give it a shot:

If you want relief
From sexual frustration,
Don’t go to Aileen.

Monday’s? Not a fave.
Give Brenda any other
Day of the week please.

Have you heard about
Christine and Léa Papin?
They were a bit stressed.

Keep your little boys
Far away from Mary Bell
And they will be safe.

Dear Sadie, please see
That there is more to life than
being Charlie’s girl.

Turn bodies into
Soap and teacakes: 101.
By Leonarda.

Myra, Oh Myra.
Don’t blame it on the sunshine.
Blame it on your boy.

What are you planting?
And where are all your tenants?
Oh, Dorothea

After discussing with Gabby, who shared a post featuring haikus, she threw the two last ones at me. We agreed true crime is great, and it’s fun writing haikus about said true crime.
